Description
Drei mutige Menschen, drei Sehnsüchte, ein Weg. Die Syrerin Kenda liebt das Spazierengehen, doch in ihrer Heimat ist dies nicht mehr möglich. Das Wohl des Syrers Ward ist durch das Schreiben bedingt, diese Leidenschaft kann er in Europa ausleben. Der Gambier Yusuf hat Scheu vor dem Wasser, doch im Schwimmenlernen sieht er den Ausdruck des Überwindens seiner Ängste. Kenda, Ward und Yusuf stehen für alle Menschen, die die Flucht über das Wasser antreten, um ein Leben fernab der Gefahr zu gestalten.
A short about three courageous people, their passion and their way. Kenda from Syria loves to walk in nature, but at home this isn't possible anymore. The wellbeing of Ward from Syria is bound to his ability to write. He can live his passion in Europe. Yusuf from Gambia is afraid of the water, but in learning how to swim he believes to be able to overcome his fears. Kenda, Ward and Yusuf represent all people fleeing across the water, willing to create their life away from fear.

Die Crew von »Über das Wasser« ist vielfältig. Der Film lebt durch unsere Schauspielerin Kenda aus Syrien und den beiden Schauspielern, Yusuf aus Gambia und Lion Ward aus Syrien. Sarina hat mit ihnen das Drehbuch entwickelt. Sie übernahm auch die Produktion. Hinter der Kamera verbarg sich Toana, die sich auch um unser leibliches Wohl kümmerte. Mathieus Aufgabe war das Schneiden des Materials, welches Nico »Drive-by« uns als Fahrer auf acht Rädern ermöglichte. Unter meine Fittiche kamen bei »Über das Wasser« die Regie, der Ton und das Sounddesign, inklusive Soundtrack. The crew of «Across the Water» is diverse. The film lives by our actress Kenda from Syria and our actors, Yusuf from Gambia and Lion Ward from Syria. Along with them, Sarina developed the screenplay. She also took over responsibility for the production. Toana was to be found behind the camera, she also cared for our culinary wellbeing. The role of Mathieu was the editing of our film material. Something which could not have been possible without Nico «Drive-by», our driver on eight wheels. I took care of directing and sound design, including the score.
